No Place for Hate Summary: Gold Star Level

  • Sign the Resolution of Respect/Promise.

Every member of the school community needs to sign the Resolution of Respect (middle and high schools) or the No Place for Hate Promise (elementary schools), affirming their commitment to No Place For Hate.

  • Complete at least 3 Activities. (We complete 4 to earn GOLD STAR status)

To be designated a No Place for Hate school, each student must have an opportunity to participate in three ADL approved activities that address bias and bullying and involve discussion, active learning, and an action plan. Activity Proposal Forms must be submitted at least three weeks before the date of the activity.

A few examples of previous activities:

Students created paper flowers that represents their uniqueness for the No Place for Hate Activity
Classroom designed their classroom door with designs on how they show respect to each other for the No Place for Hate activity.
3rd Grade students was our winner of the Bullying Poster Contest for our No Place for Hate Activity.
Multicultural students wrote poems for assembly.

Students wrote poems on what respects mean to them.
